Net Quotient and M2K Expand Alliance That Builds Web-based Businesses

AUSTIN, Texas, and NEW YORK, Jan. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Net Quotient Consulting Group and M2K are expanding their MercanteerTM strategic alliance, which designs and builds e-commerce Web sites for dot-com companies and brick-and-mortar businesses.

Mercanteer builds and promotes Web-based businesses by integrating strategic consulting, graphic design, media and creative services from M2k, www.m2k.com, an interactive agency, with the application design, development, back-end systems and technical services of Net Quotient, www.netquotient.com, a consultancy that develops Internet-based business solutions to bring businesses to the Web.

The two companies established Mercanteer in 1999. Pilot-stage projects included designing and building several large electronic commerce sites, including smartpromo.com, a business-to-business service selling promotional items.

Expansion of the strategic alliance begins with a series of "BreakfastClick" events in Dallas and Austin, Texas, that show executives how to implement winning concepts and strategies for Internet-based electronic commerce.

The BreakfastClick events are also sponsored by EarthWeb, the leading provider of Internet-based online services to the IT industry.

Net Quotient and M2K plan to roll out additional services throughout the balance of calendar 2000.

Breakfastclick launches Jan. 26, 2000 in Austin and Jan. 27 in Dallas.

Guest speaker for the first BreakfastClick events, focusing on "new revenue models," is James Lanzone, vice president of marketing and co-founder of eTour.com, a service that rewards users as it helps them discover new Web sites among hundreds of interests and hobbies. According to online research Media Metrix, eTour.com is ranked in the top 20 Web sites for minutes spent per user, and in the top 40 in pages viewed, per user, per month.
