Magic Software Enterprises Receives Excellence Award for Its Innovative CRM Products

Company Also Named Finalist in American Electronics Association's Annual High-Tech Awards Event

IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 27, 2000-- Magic Software Enterprises (Nasdaq:MGIC - news), a leading provider of state-of-the-art development technology and business applications, Thursday announced that it has received a CRM Excellence Award from Technology Marketing Corp. (TMC), publisher of Communications Solutions(TM), C@LL CENTER CRM Solutions(TM) and INTERNET TELEPHONY(TM) magazines.

TMC, the customer relationship management (CRM) industry's leading source of news and product information since 1982, will present the award to Magic at a dinner scheduled to be held Thursday evening in Washington, D.C. The award recognizes Magic for helping lead the CRM industry into the 21st century with its innovative products.

In addition, Magic has been selected as a dual finalist by the American Electronics Association (AEA) for its Annual High Tech Awards event. The company is one of 15 finalists in the "Innovative Product/Technology" category for its suite of CRM products, and one of seven finalists in the "Outstanding Public Company" category.

During 1999, Magic posted record revenues and profits as a result of its strong management and transition into the e-commerce and CRM solutions areas. AEA will announce the winners at an awards ceremony to be held in California on May 18, 2000.

The Magic CRM Suite

Magic introduced its CRM suite at the beginning of this year. Last month, it launched Magic eService(TM), a Web-based customer service management system that streamlines service workflow and provides businesses with "real-time business pulsing."

Magic eService is the first of several applications that together will make up the complete Magic suite of CRM solutions, which is designed to enhance customer satisfaction and enable higher levels of corporate profitability.

The other modules in the suite include Magic eContact(TM) and two other solutions, Magic eSales(TM) and Magic eCapture(TM), which are scheduled to be released later this year. A white paper describing the Magic CRM suite and a demo of the product is available at the Magic Web site, http://www.magic-sw.com/crm.

All of the applications in the Magic CRM suite are based upon the company's highly productive, core application development technology, and can be easily integrated, either independently or as part of a total solution, into existing front- and back-office systems.

In addition, enterprises can easily integrate Magic's award-winning business-to-business e-commerce solution, Magic eMerchant(TM), with its CRM suite of applications.

"Magic is extremely pleased to receive this recognition," said Israel Teiblum, president of Magic. "We will continue to bring to market innovative products that enable companies to achieve new levels of productivity and profitability."
